The Calepino is a cross between an artist book and short fiction. Each project grows from a particular, long-held “calepino.” Handmade in small editions, The Calepino is an imprint of the writer and artist Enza Apa.
* The word “calepino” is of southern Italian dialect, of origins Calabrese. Tracing its and spelling (calapino? calipino?) has become somewhat of an obsession in itself. We’d love to hear from you if you have any insight to share!
