The Calepino is an ongoing book art project; a cross between an artist book and short fiction. Handmade in small editions, the Calepino is an imprint of the writer and artist Enza Apa.

* The word “calepino” is of southern Italian dialect, of origins Calabrese. The search for its precise linguistic geography and spelling (calapino? calipino?) has become a recent but growing calepino of mine. Please be in touch if you have insight to share!
